Hey there, my name is Kelsie, and I’m the astrologer at Spiral Astrology. The question I get asked a lot is, “how did you start with astrology?”, so we will begin there.

My love for astrology dates back to the early 2000’s. Like many, my love for astrology began with the classic Sun Sign columns in teen magazines. But what really sparked my curiosity was an advanced astronomy class I took in school. When my teacher casually mentioned zodiacal constellations, it sent me down a rabbit hole of deeper study and I’ve truly never looked back.

By 2016, I began to dabble with reading charts for friends and online communities. I had gained enough knowledge and confidence by this point, and I was excited to share everything I knew with others.

Over the next following years, I’ve been interviewed by esoteric magazines, I’ve written yearly forecast articles for other astrologers, I have built a solid community on social media, and I have even written my own Sun Sign horoscopes for other bloggers (little me would be so proud!).

Fast forward to 2020, astrology has now become my full-time pursuit.

For over a decade, I have been a self-taught astrologer through books and one-off courses by astrologers like Robert Hand and Chris Brennan. However, I am now pursuing the more academic/structured side of astrology, and I am now a student at Kepler College.

Here, I’ll be working toward my diploma in astrology over the next few years through their 4-year program as I become trained by some of the most knowledgeable and respected astrologers in the field.

Beyond personalized readings, my true passion is writing. On Patreon, I’ve built a growing library of over 200+ posts, offering transit updates, lunation insights, and deep dive articles that help you learn astrology yourself.

My favorite part of this work is not just interpreting astrology, but teaching it.

Helping you understand the patterns behind life’s shifts so you know you’re not crazy and the energy really is changing. I believe astrology can show us challenges that may be out of our control, but also tools to meet those challenges with more choice, self-awareness, and grace.
