Venus is back in Aries on April 30th, its sign of detriment, meaning things are about to get a whole lot more uncomfortable.

The New Moon in Taurus on April 27th is a bit intense. It’s sitting at 7° Taurus, wedged between a high pressure T-square, with Mars in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius, and the New Moon caught right in the middle.

We’re starting off with a fixed T-square. Mars is opposite Pluto, and both are squaring the Sun in Taurus. That makes the Taurus Sun the pressure point; the part of the chart that has to hold the weight of both Mars and Pluto pressing on it. And Taurus doesn’t like to be rushed. It wants to move slowly, on its own terms.

Mars is finally done dragging its feet through Cancer after a very long time of being here. Mars doesn’t do well in Cancer. Since Sept 4th, 2024, Mars has been bouncing between Cancer and Leo due to the retrograde loop that started last December.

Mercury first dipped into Aries on March 3rd, finally escaping the fog of Pisces, a place where Mercury is considered both in its detriment and fall. But this wasn’t a clean break. Just days later, Mercury entered its retrograde pre-shadow on March 12th, officially turning retrograde on March 15th. By March 29th, it had slipped back into Pisces one last time, dragged into the undertow of Neptune's waters.
