April 19th, 2025: Taurus Season

The Sun enters Taurus while the Moon’s in Capricorn, so we’re starting the season off with a strong earthy tone. Normally, Taurus season is about slowing down, grounding, and focusing on what’s steady. But that’s not what this one feels like.

We’re starting off with a fixed T-square. Mars is opposite Pluto, and both are squaring the Sun in Taurus. That makes the Taurus Sun the pressure point; the part of the chart that has to hold the weight of both Mars and Pluto pressing on it. And Taurus doesn’t like to be rushed. It wants to move slowly, on its own terms.

But this transit doesn’t give Taurus the luxury of calm. Mars is pushing for action. Pluto is pushing for control. The Sun in Taurus is stuck between two forces that are both demanding to be first. It’s hard to stay neutral when your energy is being pulled in two opposite directions.

Mars in Leo is loud. It wants to assert, act, and be seen. Pluto in Aquarius is colder and more calculated. It wants control from behind the scenes. These two are already in tension, and now they’re both applying pressure to the Sun - the life force and our vitality.

This can bring up ego clashes, power struggles, and an overwhelming feeling of pressure to act without knowing how or where to start. That’s the stuck feeling with the Taurus Sun. It’s under stress, but it doesn’t react quickly. It freezes up, overthinks, or doubles down on routine just to cope.

The missing piece here is Scorpio.

In a T-square, the sign opposite the apex shows us what’s lacking; and that’s Scorpio in this case. Scorpio is depth, emotional truth, and raw instinct. It cuts through all the surface noise.

Without Scorpio, we might be avoiding what’s real. Taurus wants to stabilize and endure. But sometimes that becomes over functioning and begins taking on too much, staying quiet, pretending everything’s fine just to keep the peace.

Scorpio would ask: What are you suppressing just to stay in control? What are you refusing to let go of?

But we’re not getting Scorpio’s influence right now, only Lilith is there, which means we’re missing that cutting honesty. And without it, the pressure on the Taurus Sun builds up with nowhere to release.

Mars wants action. Pluto wants power. They’re both pressuring the Sun to do something. Taurus typically knows how to gracefully proceed with caution, but right now, that cautious approach might feel like stagnation or shutdown.

The urge to overperform, overdeliver, or hold everything together is overpowering under this t-square. But this might be the moment where you admit that it’s not working. That keeping it all together isn’t the same as being okay.

The Sun in Taurus has to make a move eventually. This T-square is showing us where we’ve been holding too tightly to comfort, to pride, and to roles that don’t fit anymore. The energy will keep pressing until something gives.
