Pluto in Aquarius Era

Astrology students are taught to look back at the planetary transits that have aligned in the past so we can draw from facts on what and how a transit will occur in the future. By studying these themes, you get a clear, crisp view on any repeated patterns of events. This is how astoogy is usually done in order to forecast future events.

But what happens when the universe drops a transit on us that wasn’t aligned in history as it is today? Well it changes things a bit, right? It is so important to be mindful and have a critical eye when it comes to astrology. Taking every part of the charts into consideration before forecasting your predictions.

We all know Pluto is about to enter Aquarius and it hasn’t been here since 1797. During this time, history speaks of the French and American revolutions. So, what will happen now? Well, we do know that it is one of the most important transits happening this year, but what exactly does that even mean?

First, let me just say that Pluto will only stay in Aquarius this year for about three months before it retrogrades Capricorn again. However, for this first half of our sneak peak into the “New World Order” movement, it’s important to examine the outer moving planets and their positions to Pluto in Aquarius.

This would be Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune and their aspects made to Pluto for the next 20+ years.

Starting simple and looking only into this year, Pluto and Jupiter will square each other on May 14th. Jupiter will be in Aries and Pluto will be in Aquarius.

These two planets of ideas and transformation typically square each other every 5-6 years. Jupiter and Pluto last squared each other in November 2016. If you can recall moments from this last square, you might have a good idea on what this next square will also look like. The only difference now will be that Jupiter will sit in the late degrees of Aries and Pluto in the early degrees of Aquarius. This signifies a huge turning point to a new revolutionary change in society. Last time, the themes were highly political with Jupiter in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn.

Now it can look like a war (Aries) on the ethical matters of technology, AI, science, and modern medicine. It’ll be interesting to see how this square will manifest this time. When Jupiter and Pluto were last at a square together, Uranus was also at a square to Pluto which brought a lot of chaos and unpredictable outcomes to November 2016. Jupiter brings a vision to the visionary sign of Aquarius and when Pluto is here, it transforms this vision into something suitable for all. It brings solutions.

Pluto in Aquarius this year will be an interesting look into the foundations our society will transform and build over the next 20 years. While absolutely no astrologer can know exactly what might happen with Pluto in Aquarius, we can only look to the last time these transits occurred, observe and research historical dates and events, and then take what we know from todays society & apply it to the current transits manifesting this time around.

How this transit will manifest for you personally and on an individual level is seen by looking at which house Aquarius is at in your chart. On an energetic, individual level, only look at any planets in your birth chart that is in Aquarius at the early degrees (preferably less than 3°).

Air signs and fixed signs within the early degrees may also feel this shift as Pluto will trine, oppose, and square your natal planets.
